Clayworks announces the completion of a new face on the sign at the public
- library in Red Lake Falls. This public art project was started in May 2005
- with the financial help and support of library staff, officials of the
- City of Red Lake Falls, and a grant provided by the Northwest Minnesota
- Regional Development Council through funding from the Minnesota Arts Board
- and the Minnesota State Legislature. Clayworks artists, Robin and Lorrie
- Foster spearheaded tile-making sessions and were assisted by Friends of
- the Library in making books for the sign.  Robin and Lorrie Foster worked
- to teach the youth about techniques to build, fire, and glaze tiles.  The
- Fosters set the tiles on new cement board and completed installation May
- 1st, 2006.  The Public Library Summer Reading Program has many exciting
- activates planned again this summer. It is with pride that the outdoor
- sign with book tiles is announced.
