Hello from Denton, TX. Just saw the web-site for the first time, very informative. I learned some history I didn't know! Love the photo, looks like across from the street from our home down on Main Street. Ron and I always enjoy our visits to Red Lake Falls, especially visiting family, friends and neighbors. We look forward to my 50th class reunion July of 2012; where has the time gone?? Ron graduated from Lafayette High in 1959.

One day I plan on visiting Red Lake Falls. My grandfather, Napolian Guerin, lived there and moved to Yakima Washington in 1922. He had a black smith shop there. My mom was born there in 1921.

Looks like a beautiful town.

My husband and I are on our way back to spend two days in Red Lake Falls.  My dad, Russell Davis, ran the Hunt Hardware Store and Funeral Home when I was in the first grade. [I am now 60 years old.] My Mom, Mary Jeanne (Hunt) Davis was part of the Hunt family who lived in Red Lake Falls for many years.  We moved to Washington State when I was in the 2nd grade.  This will be the 4th visit back in approximately 14 years.  We have stayed with Anne Healy the past two visits, and have loved catching up on Red Lake Falls, the hardware store (which looks much the same) and the general beauty and history of the area.  We have stopped by to visit Al Buse, who was a good friend of my Dad's.  Both of my parents are stil living-- Dad is 88 1/2 and Mom is almost 84; they live in Silverdale, Washington.  We hope to attend church at the Presbyterian Church where we were baptized.  We also want to find my grandmother's grave, which unfortunately has "swallowed up" the headstone, so that we can replace it (Oak Grove Cemetery).  Wish I could visit more often.  Nancy Davis

 I spent the first five years of my life in Red Lake Falls. My grandparents were Frank & Marie Helm. My family owned Helm Implement. My father was Robert F Helm and my mother was Christine Helm. My father decided to move to California after the business burned down in 1950 I think. My dad died in 1964 and mom in 2003. Would love to come back sometime.

For those of you who remember him, Denny Syvock died Friday in California.  Seventeen years after his heart transplant. (A woman's heart) He had many health problems , but was as funny a few months ago as he was in high school. He was a dear friend.

Just checked out the "Festival of Tables" pictures, of course they were all beautiful.  I would like to thankVaughn & Mildred Thorfinnson for the wonderful Tulips they let us use in our centerpiece and express my regrets they weren't on the table at the time this picture was taken.  Again "THANK-YOU" from the Red Lake Falls Volunteer Ambulance.

Greetings! Congratulations to the Red Lake Co. boys' baseball team on their awesome 3rd Place win in the State Tournament on Thursday and Friday. I was very honored to attend and help cheer on these very talented, dedicated sportsmen. These young men gave it their all -- in 90+ degree weather -- and they're #1 in my eyes and the eyes of all their fans! Way to go, guys! Great games! Great sportsmanship!

The trails in RLF are so beautiful this time of year and there are no bugs yet to bother you.   Our trails cross 2 rivers and 2 streams with scenic views along the way.  The birds and the rushing river provide relaxing sounds as you walk along.   The trials make our friendly town just that much better.   You can pick up the trail were it crosses Main Street (Hwy 32).  I highly recommend our trails in early June when the yellow ladyslippers appear and in mid-June when the pink ladyslippers bloom.

I have many fond memories of this great little town.  My father was raised here and my grandparents (Agnes and Lorenzo French) were here until they passed. I visited this last summer and was struck with so many emotions.  I will always come visit when I am in Minnesota.  I am now in Texas and loving the winters, but summers are dreadful.  :)  Thanks for the website.  It brings me back to a great time.
